It goes without saying that every website project will vary when it comes to time to complete and launch the new website. As a guide, for my standard WordPress website builds, I like to allow around 6-8 weeks for research, design, development and pre-launch bug testing.
The most common causes of delays will be either waiting for content from the client, or waiting for decision making for such things as approval of the initial wireframe designs.
Much like the time it takes to launch a new website project, this will also vary depending on the project in question. If you’re on a budget, then options like WIX, or Elementor are far better options to keep costs down. My own website projects are designed to be a fully-comprehensive option that includes all necessary work from start to finish, and my prices reflect this.
I aim to get new enquiries for my clients when it comes to each new website project, delivering them a decent ROI.
The 2 points I focus on to achieve this are; initial SEO optimisation, and on-page conversion rate.
The initial SEO optimisation isn’t a substitute for a full SEO campaign, but it does involve optimising the website in such a way so that the business’ service pages have a solid chance of ranking on Google for desired keywords and capturing traffic from opportunities where possible.
The on-page conversion rate is all about using smart layout/design and good sales psychology principles to convert as much of the current website traffic into new enquiries as possible.
I offer a monthly website management service, if you don’t have the time then I can host, update, manage and carry out additional on-going work, i.e. updating your portfolio with new projects etc.
It’s an all-in-one package, but it isn’t compulsory, if you don’t want or need this service, then I can help you set up your own hosting so you can look after the website yourself.
